Your Fitness Goals: Weight Loss Management - Our Goals: The goal of our personal training programs is to turn you into your own personal trainer.

Only you are guaranteed to be with you for the rest of your life. We don't teach you how to use a particular machine, we teach you how to exercise properly to achieve goals, rehabilitate injuries, and prevent future injuries.

Nutrition is the basis. Learn how to eat properly based on your goals following two key principles: Eating strategies must be easy to follow (we don't believe in diets) and they must include foods you already like to eat. Learn how to manage your fitness in a way that allows you to avoid all of the fad diet and exercise programs out there. Save thousands of dollars by learning about proper exercise and nutrition now and enjoy a lifetime of maintenance.

Core Stability/Flexibility/Coordination. Consider hiring a Fitness Professional for 8 to 16 weeks - long enough to learn the nutritional strategies, various fitness principles, equipment technologies and exercise techniques required to become reasonably self-sufficient and to achieve noticeable results. Periodic sessions with a trainer will reinforce training habits and help you learn new techniques.
Show your friends and family members that you have made the choice to be different from the 50-60% of Americans that choose to live their lives overweight.

Changing the fitness world!

U.S. Fitness Group offers a new form of whole-body exercise using functional integrative training techniques to build all-around fitness. Designed to change the way people of all ages and physical capabilities think about and perform their regular exercise routines, U.S. Fitness Group programs provide a physiologically superior way to gain health and fitness and improve lives. As a new fitness club brand, U.S. Fitness Group exists to forever change the paradigm of fitness from a machine based platform to a whole body based platform and produce the highest level of fitness results in existence today.

U.S. Fitness Group is "Functional Integrative Training"

Functional: restores, maintains and enhances your body's 3-dimensional movement capability. Leading to better movement function in lifestyle, work and sport.
Integrative: using coordinated movement patterns from your core that get all the muscles of your body to work efficiently in order to move with ease, confidence and grace.
Training: nothing is free, other than your body, so an element of effort is needed to realize your true potential.
for all-around fitness, balancing the body from the inside-out.

U.S. Fitness Group is Interval Training

U.S. Fitness Group uses circuit type or time based full body compound exercises with free weights, medicine balls, swiss balls, plyo boxes, grip balls, bosu balls, balance boards, free motion devices, agility ladders, striking bags, ropes, versa bars, kettlebells, therabands, agility cones, pully's, fitballs, unstable platforms and the only machine needed, your body. High intensity exercises mixed in with short rest periods in order to maximize the effect on the neuroendocrine system. Utilizing all zones of cardio-vascular fitness.

U.S. Fitness is -Core Training-

What is Core Training?

All movement starts in the core.
Breath control is of paramount importance in order to perform well in exercise.
Posture and control of center of gravity is emphasized.
Body mechanics for the 8 fundamental movement skills is essential.
Technique training in the basic to more advanced exercises that are utilized.

The 8 fundamental movement skills:

Lunge
Push
Pull
Squat
Twist or spin
Bend
Run
Jump

What is the Neuroendocrine response and what kind of exercises stimulate it the most?

Neuroendocrine response is a change in the body that affects you either neurologically or hormonally. Most important adaptations to exercise are in part or completely a result of a hormonal or neurological shift. Current research, much of it done by Dr. William Kraemer, Penn State University, has shown which exercise protocols maximize neuroendocrine responses. Deadlift, squat, presses, and cleans all have a demonstrated potent neuroendocrine response.

Among the hormonal responses vital to athletic development are substantial increases in testosterone, insulin-like growth factor, and human growth hormone. Exercising with protocols known to elevate these hormones eerily mimics the hormonal changes sought in exogenous hormonal therapy (steroid use) with none of the deleterious effect. Exercise regimens that induce a high neuroendocrine response produce champions! Increased lean muscle and bone density are just two of many adaptive responses to exercises capable of producing a significant neuroendocrine response. It is impossible to overstate the importance of the neuroendocrine response to exercise protocols. This is why it is one of the defining themes of the CrossFit program. Heavy load weight training (not heavy weights, loads equals lots of reps), short rest between sets, high heart rates, high intensity training, and short rest intervals, though not entirely distinct components, are all associated with a high neuroendocrine response.

Changing the fitness world forever from Bodybuilding and cardio machine based exercises to Dynamic athletic functional free-form exercises with no machines!

Bodybuilding has plagued athletic training and rehabilitation with the urge to "isolate" muscles and make them BIGGER! All show and no go! It should never be forgotten when trying to improve functional performance, the brain only knows movements, not muscles.
Asthetic-Isolation (working a single muscle) exercises de-train the nervous system and contribute to poor core fitness. VS. Athletic Integration (working multiple muscles and muscle groups) integration and proper training of stabilizers, neutralizers and prime movers equals functional training and better core fitness and athleticism.

Additionally, consider that most bodybuilding exercises are performed on machines requiring no activation of postural muscles, minimal activation of the core stabilizer and neutralizer muscles. They also, certainly dont require that you maintain your center of gravity over your own base of support at all times; theres not much need to activate the core and postural muscles when sitting on a machine with a huge base of support bolted to the floor!

The Cardio Myth vs. The Cardio Truth

Exercise machines are a big business and unfortunately we have become the victims to their marketing campaigns that confuse the end user with false information. The term "aerobic" simply means with oxygen, and does not encapsulate all of cardiovascular training. Your body can not burn energy with oxygen for sustained periods above a certain exercise intensity, which is why if you want to exercise aerobically for extended periods of time, there is a limit to the intensity at which the exercise can be performed. High Intensity interval training is also "cardio", but the majority of work is anaerobic, at an intensity that the body can't sustain for extended periods. Because you are working out at an intensity that you can't sustain, you are overloading your cardiovascular system, which is the only way to see continued improvements. The problem with steady state "cardio" is that because there is a ceiling on intensity, there is a ceiling on performance improvements (including weight loss).

In terms of burning calories, high intensity interval training once again reigns supreme. If you were to look at the caloric expenditure during a bout of steady state "cardio" vs. a bout of high intensity intervals, it is likely that more calories are burned during the steady state session, but this is only half of the picture. Because of a phenomenon known as Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), high intensity interval training will result in more total calories burned because your resting metabolism remains elevated for hours after exercise, which means that you burn more calories at rest than you normally would. Steady state cardio does not produce this response.

High intensity interval training doesn't just mean performing sprint intervals. You can achieve the same cardiovascular and fat burning benefits by creating a circuit of compound, functional movements (squats, pullups, pushups, jumping, etc.), in addition to improving other aspects of fitness, namely strength, speed, power, flexibility, coordination, agility, and balance.

Why is functional fitness a good thing?

You can break down every daily activity whether work, sport or play and basically identify fundamental movement skills within each activity, such as lunges, squats, twists, etc All the movements in functional fitness are designed specifically to enhance all these skill movements and therefore, increase your real life performance whether your taking groceries out of your car, running a 10k race or long jumping for an Olympic Medal. It gets all the muscles in the body to work together rather than isolating them or working in a 1-dimensional movement pattern like most exercise programs.

U.S. Fitness Group

Has a full range of "functional fitness" classes that emphasize:

Cardio respiratory endurance
Stamina
Strength
Flexibility
Speed
Power
Coordination
Accuracy
Balance
Agility

As an injury preventative program, these group fitness classes will balance out many repetitive sports specific type of movements that may be damaging to the body. For anyone injured or recovering from injury it is best to modify exercises to fit within the scope of your ability.

U.S. Fitness Group competitive advantage

A perfectly fit and agile body depends on proper cardio respiratory mechanics, lean muscle mass and core abdominal muscles where all movement begins. This is our advantage. The vast majority of fitness and strength conditioning programs and clubs focus on shaping the body and strengthening outer muscles on weight and cardio machines that are monotonous, boring and compensate for poor core fitness.

Who should use U.S. Fitness Group programs?

U.S. Fitness Group methodology and philosophy are bio mechanically sound, based on fundamental movement skills that are designed for EVERYONE, that is why its called functional integrative training (core training) It's meant to restore, maintain and enhance EVERYONE'S functional movements, from kids to elderly, obese to injured, and from recreational fitness enthusiasts to Olympic caliber athletes.

U.S. Fitness Group is all about results
